How SCORM Dispatch works

Connect to the customer’s LMS.
Keep commercial control.

The original files stay hosted in SCORM Dispatch. Learners take the course in the customer’s LMS.
01

Content Provider

You own the course and keep the original files.
02

SCORM Dispatch

The course is hosted here. You license it to each customer.
03

Customer LMS

They launch the course from their LMS, not from a copy of your files.
04

Learner

The learner takes the course in their organisation’s LMS.
Standards

Built around SCORM

Most customers dispatch SCORM into the LMS. xAPI and LTI 1.3 are available when that is a better fit.

SCORM

The main way to dispatch a course. Your customer imports a small SCORM package into their LMS. You keep the original files. SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 are supported.

xAPI

Host and launch xAPI content with the same licence and access controls.

LTI 1.3

Launch into an LMS that prefers LTI instead of a SCORM package.
Getting started

Four steps to dispatch a course

1

Upload your course

Upload your SCORM package. SCORM Dispatch hosts it.

2

Create a dispatch

Set licence limits and expiry for each customer.

3

Deliver to their LMS

They import a SCORM dispatch package. LTI 1.3 is available if needed.

4

Track and manage

See usage, completions and scores. Update or revoke from here.

What you control

The original course stays in SCORM Dispatch. You decide who can use it, for how long, and when it changes.

Keep control of course files

Customers receive a dispatch package, not the original course.

Licence limits

Set learner limits on each dispatch.

Expiry dates

Set when a dispatch can no longer be used.

Revoke access

Turn off a dispatch at any time, even after it has been deployed.

Update content centrally

Update the course once. Existing dispatches use the updated content.

Reporting

See usage, completions and scores across your customers.

Questions

How SCORM Dispatch works

A short explanation of the dispatch model. More detail is on How It Works and Pricing.

What is SCORM Dispatch?

What problems does SCORM Dispatch solve?

When you send a full SCORM package to a customer, it is hard to keep control of the files, update the course later, or see how it is being used.

SCORM Dispatch keeps the master course in one place and connects it to the customer’s LMS, so you can manage access, updates and reporting from here.

Can I update courses after they have been dispatched?

Yes. When you update the course in SCORM Dispatch, dispatched versions use the updated content. Customers do not need to upload a new package to their LMS.
